Black San Francisco takes on Chief Suhr and City Hall

On December 9, the San Francisco Bayview community, along with Black Lives Matter Bay Area, the ANSWER Coalition, and others in the fight for social justice led by example with heated protest both inside and outside the doors of the police commissioners meeting in City Hall.

Police Chief Greg Suhr was directly confronted for his role in the SF Police Department execution of Mario Woods. Protesters demanded he be fired, while also making sure to condemn the role of Mayor Ed Lee in forcing gentrification-related violence on the remaining three percent of Black people in San Francisco.

San Francisco joined Chicago in righteous outrage and fightback against the criminal city officials that uphold the structures of systemic racism.
