Protesters gather in front of Sudanese embassy in Washington, D.C.: Solidarity with the people’s uprising and the Communist Party!

On March 6, the Party for Socialism and Liberation held an action in Washington, D.C. outside the embassy of Sudan in solidarity with the mass protests that have been taking place against the government and to express our outrage at the repression directed at the Sudanese Communist Party, which is playing a leading role in the uprising. Demonstrations first emerged at the end of last year in response to austerity measures that drastically raised the cost of living for working people. It has since evolved into a full-scale uprising that seeks the remove the reactionary, theocratic government that has been in power for decades.
