Activists in Seattle replied to the the call for protests, issued by the ANSWER Coalition, against the U.S. bombing of Syria. Gathering at downtown Westlake park on Sept. 27 were members of ANSWER Seattle, Women in Black, Voices for Palestine, Party for Socialism and Liberation, the Jess Spear campaign, Phinney Ridge Neighbors for Peace, World Can’t Wait, Veterans for Peace and International Action Center. Demonstrators distributed fact sheets and the ANSWER Coalition statement. A number of passers-by stopped to thank those protesting and sign up to get involved.
