Over 10,000 protest against U.S.-Israeli war on Aug. 12

In San Francisco, Lebanese and Palestinian flags flew high as the diverse march of more than 10,000 demonstrators

streamed down Market St. Speakers at the Civic Center rallied in front of City Hall. The cheering crowd demonstrated their rejection of the U.S. government’s vision of a “new Middle East.”



Chanting “Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, occupation is a crime,” the protesters voiced heartfelt solidarity with their sisters and brothers who are courageously fighting against imperialist aggression. The demonstration was initiated by the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition, Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation and the National Council of Arab Americans.
