An array of groups were present at the demonstration from the May 1st Coalition to Alcatraz Ferry Workers on strike. The message at the demonstration was limited politically—at times encouraging protestors to support more liberal house representatives in Congress.

The next step for the anti-war movement in San Francisco will be March 18, a protest on the fourth anniversary of the war that will link up with the March 17 march on the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Momentum for this global day of action is already picking up.
