Racist ICE raids target immigrant workers

More than 100 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided a printer supply manufacturer, Micro Solutions Enterprises, on Feb. 7 in California’s San Fernando Valley. Around 120 immigrant employees were arrested. Some are elderly; many facing deportation have families. Eight were charged with providing fraudulent information to get their jobs.

Another 50 immigrant workers were arrested by 100 ICE goons at a Utah County metal factory that same day.

The raids come as ICE continues its coordinated, racist crackdown on undocumented workers. Over 12 million immigrants are undocumented in the United States. Neither the Republican nor Democratic presidential candidates have condemned the inhuman raids. Both parties of big business support the raids as a way to instill fear in undocumented workers, giving employers the green light to pay workers less and exploit them more.
