Dennis:

Excellent, thank you for your support…Expose these SOBs, show the people who represents the 1 percent and how corrupt they are…

Bk Blood:

Great article, really informative! Thanks for the support!

Con X:

I work for Con Ed. It’s a money making machine. It’s also a major fraud. At the end of 2011 the company was awarded the right to increase rates 10 percent during a recession. This followed two years of field workers being forced to falsify daily time sheets by not recording or at least minimizing non-productive time since Con Ed needed to show that it had a “need” to upkeep the system. Routine travel, set up, and pump times were shown at a minimum on paper. Many of us reported our days routinely but unfortunately our department’s unwritten policy is that paperwork is to be done in pencil and said paperwork is reviewed by a senior engineer although they have paid unionized clerks to take care of such things.

Franky P:

Con Ed is just another scam by the rich. When they get hungry for more money they take from the customers by raising costs and take from the workers every chance they get. We must all support the union workers as this is an attack on all workers. The outcome of this dispute will influence future attacks on labor. We must all stand strong and unite with the workers of Local 1-2 against the real enemy: CORPORATE GREED!!!!!

Carolyn S:

I no longer live in an area that is serviced by Con Ed but have many friends and family members that are employed by Con Ed and it is a very scary thing to go through during a strike…It’s their livelihood.

Laura W.

Good article—my husband is one of these locked out workers…Con Ed is not negotiating in good faith – they are trying to break the union…They made more than $1 billion in profits last year—5 percent of a Con Ed bill goes to these union workers…I support the fight of these men and women.
