Members of ANSWER Seattle (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) could be found out on the streets, petitioning and raising awareness of the case of Maile Hampton, ANSWER Sacramento and Black Lives Matter activist. The petition demands that the Sacramento DA drop the outrageous charge of “lynching” for which the young Black women faces four years of prison.
People we met on the street were friendly and interested. We got into lively discussions and collected many signatures. One person volunteered to come out and petition with us the following day.
